PROCESS

sculpture in-motion: pneumatically actuated silicone & e-textile circuiting

I'm fabricating soft electronic materials by hand for circuiting, designing the mold for the silicone actuators and machining the metal parts to encase and support the system.

This piece was inspired by my contributions to the knitted sensors and textiles research work at Wesleyan University’s Soft Robotics Lab led by Professor Roberts.
